Digital Property has a visual solution for construction estimating and takeoff. CAD ESTIMATOR reads industry standard AutoCAD files and even imports paper blueprints with a digital camera. Builders use CAD ESTIMATOR to trace blueprint images that appear on their computer screen, they can quickly takeoff quantities, figure a budget and generate detailed reports for each project. As an added benefit they can also produce visual material lists for each trade that actually show placement of material. This item list is read by PrioSoft’s Contractor’s Office which makes the individual line items available for the user to easily create Requests for Proposal, Purchase Orders, Labor Tickets, Quotations, Invoices for Draws and Budgets.
CAD ESTIMATOR is unique from other estimating systems because the digitizing of the blueprint is built right into the program. There is no need to purchase separate digitizing tablets or rolling counters to takeoff elements from a drawing, you won’t need a scale ruler or even highlighter pen to mark up the blueprint, you do it all right on your computer.
PrioSoft’s package, Contractor’s Office, includes an estimating module that takes the individual items in the takeoff and creates Requests for Proposal, Purchase Orders, Labor Tickets, Quotations and Invoices for Draws. Items on this list are also available to easily place on the Job Schedule. This gives all the small to medium sized contractors the a growth path for an estimating system while still getting the complete Business, Contact Management and Project Management with Work Order processing, Job Budgets, Accounting, Job Costing and Job Scheduling capabilities in Contractor’s Office.
